About SÊ Association
SÊ is a portuguese non profit organization, created in Porto in 2021, envisioning the evolution of a more humane, conscious and responsible society. Our mission is to promote people’s awareness and empowerment through non-formal educational and social activities. We abide to the values of freedom, equality, justice, transparency and cooperation and are a non-confessional and nonpartisan organisation. We work with people of all ages but our primary target group is children and young people.
In Portuguese, “SÊ” means “Be” and also stands for Social Education. Remember Mahatma Ghandi’s “Be the change you want to see in the world”.

The “Smile of the Child”, established in 1996, is the largest recognized NGO in Greece in the critical field of child protection, namely abused children, missing children, children with medical problems and children in risk of poverty, both in prevention and treatment.
Over its 26-year- activity, TSoC has made the difference for more than 1.853.000 children and their families in Greece. TSoC currently operates with approximately 4.009 active volunteers and 470 specialized personnel. Its frontline activities and actions for the protection and assistance of children victims/potential victims of abuse, neglect and any other type of risk, include the direct social intervention through the Helplines, the provision of a safe living environment and psychological, medical and material support, raising public awareness through information campaigns and prevention programmes at schools.
